CRB Checks

Everyone over the age of 16 who is coaching or helping with any children or young adults under the age of 18 must have a Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check.  Information is completely confidential and the outcome of the check is returned confidentially from the bureau to the individual.

In 2009 the laws are even tighter on this issue and we must have everyone cleared before becoming involved.

CRB checks are easy and last 3 years.

Please contact Keith Gamble or Paul Cody if you want further information.

Electronic CRB checking

Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Club now has Electronic CRB checking.  Because of the recent changes to the CRB process a number of volunteers may have lapsed.

Who should be checked?

Anyone who is having regular involvement with children and youths who are under 18 years of age.  Coaches, first aiders, safeguarding assistants, tour organisers, kitchen, shop and bar staff are the key people.  This current CRB list showing the individuals who's CRB checks that are still in date can be found here.
