Welcome
Welcome to another season of Junior rugby at Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Club. You will find information on matches and all matters relating to the U13 through U18 rugby teams here.
We are pleased to welcome the very successful U12 mini team of last year to our U13 group and wish the outgoing U18 members well in their Senior rugby. Our Juniors compete in the Surrey Leagues. We play matches on a Sunday, both League and non league fixtures and these are played home and away, those teams without an arranged fixture for a Sunday will usually be training at home. As well as this all age groups have a midweek training right through the year on our floodlit pitches, these sessions take place on a Tuesday or a Thursday evening.
Please look at the individual age group pages on our website for the details of their allocated training evening as well as up to date information on their fixtures. You will also find contact details for the Manager or Coach as well as other useful contacts and information.
Our club like most community rugby clubs is run by the members for the members. Each age group has a dedicated band of volunteers who look after coaching, refereeing, safeguarding, membership, first aid, tour managers, fixtures and many other things, sometimes unrelated to the game such as trips and social events. There are also many others working in the background sorting catering, refreshments, finance, the shop, photos and many other areas too numerous to mention. For anyone wishing to get involved just ask, there is a slot for you. Also there are various courses for coaching, refereeing and safeguarding. Volunteers routinely helping with the junior players have enhanced CRB checks in accordance with our club policy.
Within the clubhouse we have excellent facilities for catering and a licensed bar for pre and post match refreshments and as well as large screen TV’s for watching International matches or catching up with the latest sports scores or result on a Sunday.

There is also Youth Development Scheme (YDS) information. Steve Smith is the YDS officer and primary contact for all aspects of this programme.

Picture Gallery Photos
There is no need to purchase the photos from the Picture Gallery WEB site. These are mostly low resolution and unsuitable for printing. Your team coaches may already have a CD with the full resolution images. If not then email Heny Bryk giving the game and picture number and he will send you the image. These are FREE.
