U12 This Weekend

Hi Everyone,
 
The Falcons were desperately unlucky yesterday at the Sutton & Epsom B festival, coming 2nd and losing out to Brighton (aaagh!) by one on try difference after being level on points and tries scored - but at least we got a comprehensive victory over Cobham (hooray!).
 
Thank you to everyone training at home who took part in the minute silence for Rob Allan.  We also welcomed Michael Rawle for this first training session with us.
 
There is no rugby this weekend for the Easter break but when we return the season reaches it's climax with the Surrey B's on April 11th and the Surrey A's and Surrey C's on April 18th - plus the Harlquins Land Rover Cup on Saturday April 17th (for which the Falcons are entered).
 
Selection for these squads is complex - there are strict rules imposed by the Surrey RFU about players moving up or down between squads and we have a number of players missing due to holidays.  Due to these rules, holidays and the size of our squad some players will be playing more than once and there is a also chance that not every player will get a chance to play in one of the festivals - anyone who doesn't will feature at the Guildford floodlit festival the following week.
 
For now I'm only going to announce the preliminary squad for the Falcons at the Surrey B festival at Nescott and leave the others for after Easter.  The squad is as follows:
 
Forwards - Ollie Fielding, Fraser Shaw, Jago Thomas, Jack Sutherland, Tim Brooks, Ben Tame, James Kelly, Nick Attree, Michael Rawle (tbc)
Backs - Joe Triegaardt (c), Alex Russell, Jacob Jackson, James A Bell, Feargus Denny, Joe Crowhurst, Elliott Godwin, Nick Bush
 
There will be a training session for this squad at 3pm on Saturday April 10th on our normal pitch.  If there is anyone can't make this session please let me know.
 
If there is anyone who is not available on the 17th (not including the Eagles) or the 18th can they please let me know as soon as possible.
