U11 Chipstead Winnters

" We have just had the best day possible, Great weather, fantastic rugby and the cup as the end result! The boys played the best rugby we have ever seen them play, they played with enthusiasm, flair, determination and true grit winning all their games.
Game 1 - London Irish  14-7    With Sam Wilcox diving in for 2 brilliant tries.
Game 2 - Chipstead Tigers  21-0  With the unstoppable Sam Wilcox scoring another try along with an outstanding performance from Sam Chesover getting the 2nd try and to cap it off the irrepressible Jack Potter scoring the 3rd.
Game 3 - Chipstead Lions  12-0  Tries by widow maker Charlie Cocke (because he gave us all a heart attack with his attempt at a kick through when he was 15m from the try line and getting away with it by a lucky rebound from the opposition back into his arms for the run through to score) and the unstoppable trimtank scoring the 2nd .Ollie Bliss up to now keeping the score up to maximum with his nerve- racking conversions missed his first one (I'll have words with him about that, and some kicking practice next Sunday).
Game 4 - Old Whitgiftians  17-0  Tries by Max, Quinn, and Luke all well taken and well worked , great to see Quinn on the score sheet, good work keep it up and with Ollie off the pitch for a well-earned rest  Jack Francis and Luke both took turns at converting  the tries and both missed,(not as easy as they thought under pressure ).
Game 5  Old Reigatians   7-0     By far the best rugby match I've seen up to now including the world cup performances , probably the toughest match as it was win or lose on this game and after some fantastic defensive work in the first half Luke  came up trumps again with the only try of the match, Ollie back on duty converted.
Man of the match goes to Sam Chesover for his determination and great straight running especially as he was playing out of his normal position
Overall a great team effort and a great win for the u11's A squad
Well done to Hamish for his heroic effort moving up to the A's this week and putting in a strong performance
Big thanks to Lou for her first aid  and all the parents for their patience between matches but most of all to the boys for making us proud
